So I have an account on Mastodon and have found a lot of my old bird app friends and acquaintances there for the most part.
But I also like this place and they're somewhat different... So I think both have merit and hold interest in different ways.
Guess we'll see where it goes.
But so far Iike that neither side is doomscrolling or waiting until I bait someone into a pointless argument or take the bait myself.
So that's positive.

@NickTheSkydiver I’m doing something similar. I find the discourse here better for actual discussion of issues, but the Federated TL on Mastodon is giving me access to interests I followed on Twitter as well.
@shadowpages Yeah, both have merit. A lot of Twitter folks have also started making more use of Instagram which for some things is great, even if I don't like the owner of that too much either.
