Drag performances In Tennessee are about to be made a felony offense.

Gee so glad republicans are working hard to help average Americans

And not just wasting time and sharpening axes.

Totally not a useless party.

@BlastBunny I'm betting we can win a stay in federal court, as it's clearly sex discrimination. A woman in the same outfit can perform without penalty of law. I hope Dolly gets involved.

@sfleetucker

It’s not even just sex discrimination it’s a free speech violation.

@BlastBunny Agreed, I do not dispute that. But since the current stacked Supreme Court is still in charge, we probably need several prongs of attack.

@sfleetucker

It just totally shocks me how the GOP is so unhinged now they think they can regulate how people dress.

Like people can’t afford food or meds, and insurance isn’t helping people afford our bat shit medical industry.

But no

Let’s impose a dress code for adults.

@sfleetucker

If a kid sees it yes, so even if you’re dressed fully and doing something innocent like reading to kids you will be charged with a felony.

@BlastBunny I'd love for a bunch of networks to just cut service to TN based on the fact that they cannot conform with the law. Drop Disney+, HBO, Hulu, Netflix, Apple TV+, etc and leave them with nothing to watch and see how long that law lasts.

@sfleetucker

Red states are already trying to do this.

Texas GOP made a law that websites can’t moderate their own sites because…..reasons.

And Facebook already says if the law is upheld then they’ll discontinue services in the states that pass these moderation bans.

There literally going to get blocked while trying to stop these sites from blocking people

All because their fee fees were hurt

@BlastBunny Yeah, enough of that and the folks living in Gilead will eventually grow tired of only seeing reruns of bad movies starring Chachi and Jerkules, and they'll revolt.

@sfleetucker

Lol yeah right it’ll be 2 channels:

1- Fox nation
2- 24/7 Christian preaching

@sfleetucker

I remember when the Athiest church put up a billboard basically saying Christianity was fake

Not federally mandated

Completely private organizations involved

And Fox News ran stories about it for a week basically saying it somehow violated the religious liberty of Christian’s and the billboard was called an attack on traditional American values.

So yeah

Pretty much
