@Sr0bi Because most Dems don't want controversy. They want to quietly get elected so they can become independently wealthy by working with the big donors that pay for their political careers.
The Republicans are both corrupt like that _and_ crazy, but there's a lot of do-nothing Dems that prefer not to make waves. They might want to vote for similar bad things when their donors ask them to. Best not to draw attention to actual issues they might have to be on the wrong side of later.
Annnnd, you win the award today for hitting the nail on its head! I've been screaming this for years and it's why I said adiós and switched to Independent. The Dem party needs to get off its ass and start making big enough waves to drown the Repubs.
@see_the_sus @Sr0bi I think what need to do is work harder at selecting non-corrupt (non-big-donor-taking) Democrats, and bird-dog them. Make sure they know we are watching, and their jobs depend on doing the right thing, not doing what some wealthy donor or their own stock investments want.
They need to know that they only get the job if they actually perform it.
Otherwise, they can just sit around "not being as bad" as Republicans, and shit don't get done.
I agree, though I doubt parties will ever go away simply cause human beings, (majority), like to be categorized.
@see_the_sus @Sr0bi They go away if we make them go away. There's nothing that is magically forever. Things stay the way they are until something changes them.
Political machines like Tammany Hall used to exist, and we made them go away. Let's get rid of the rest of them.
