This day keeps on hitting.

Two family members have died this year & the husband of my cousin. An aunt in Jan and now my oldest uncle this morning. 😒

I wasn't close to the aunt and hadn't seen her in decades but I liked my uncle. I didn't see him often, because he and his wife lived/live in the D.C., area but he was kind. I'd call them periodically to chat, which I rarely do with most of my other relatives.

Damnit. It's not even March.

Thank you β™₯️

I have one remaining aunt, my mom, and four uncles. Since moving back to NM, where 90% of my mom's family lives, I've seen most of them twice this year which is more than I had seen them in well over a decade. It's a weird feeling seeing them and for a moment having to shake my head when I realized I didn't recognize some because of how their bodies had changed due to age.

Anyway, I'm rambling. Thanks again.,

You're not rambling, you're expressing your true feelings...
One thing I've learned the hard way, cherish the time you have with them because you never know if you will ever see them again. I found that out when my father's multiple myeloma took him away from me. It existed inside him for years before he fell and fractured a rib. Then it was discovered, too late. Then there was my sister who was 7 years younger than me and who died 20 years ago.
Time passes and so do we all...
