I've been looking at online eyeglass retailers, Zenni & Wargy Parker ,and I have two frames favorited on each site. But, I'm still not convinced they'll look the same on my face as I see on their virtual try-out options., I found out there's a Warby Parker store in town where they might have the same frames and colours of the ones I like. Yay!

My Medicaid doesn't cover lenses 😡 & since I wear progressives, using insurance has my cost at over $300. Online price will be around $125--$150

@see_the_sus I have an unusually wide head. Every time I get glasses, I mention this to the fitter, they don't believe me until the glasses are digging ruts into the sides of my head. Not unsurprisingly, this has not translated well into mail order, but on the plus side, they have been reasonably flexible about returns. I would just ensure that the return policy is sufficiently flexible before using mail order again.

@00pi

I always need the arms turned downward quite a bit behind my ear or they fall off. I have the same damn problem with keeping a mask on my ears. 😖
