@see_the_sus Call FedEx. I reported the guy for doing the same w my 2 cases of canned cat food. Be sure to mention that's your emergency exit.
Oh, I did & left a scathing complaint on their site.
Drat, didn't think about it being my emergency exit.
The agent kept saying, "ok, so they didn't follow your instructions." And I'm telling her, "They put it in my patio like they're supposed to but they blocked me from getting out of my apartment! Just tell them not to put deliveries in front of my door!"
I almost had to call my neighbor for help, but I was able to push open the door.
@see_the_sus Sighs... I hope never to get blocked in by them in emergency but if I do, and live, I'm gonna sue them first then find that delivery guy and superglue him to a wall.
Sounds like a good plan!
I blocked myself in once, less than a month after I moved in here. I'd forgotten I now had a screen door after having lived in "hallway" apartments for ages. I woke up and went to go out only to discover a folded cardboard box had fallen overnight and wedged under the frame. I had to call one of my brothers to come over and rescue me.
Lesson learned, keep the doorway CLEAR!
@see_the_sus all homes need a second emergency exit. Does your bathroom open to a fire escape or something similar? Also, I'd keep something like an ax next to that door for a real FUCK IT emergency.
I have windows but due to my disability I can't get ouf of them, even though they're low. I suppose if it was an emergency I could tumble out but I sure ain't gonna get far from the apartment. π
I have no one above me or below me...well, except for @AskTheDevil π
