Took me a little time to figure out how to say this

When the KC Royals won the World Series we held a million + rally

Super Bowl 54 & 57 Kansas City held a million + rally

In all of them, the police were astonished that the typical crime rate in the downtown area did not rise above normal

No cars overturned, no fires started…just peaceful celebration of fans with their teams

News commentary sang our city’s praises

Then, on Valentine’s Day, a day to celebrate love… continued

…we got to celebrate Super Bowl 58 with a million + rally. EXACTLY the same, a peaceful thing, right up to the end and people were beginning to disperse back to home or restaurants or work

THEN stupid, irresponsible people made the insane decision to draw weapons against each other and start firing bullets ar each other while standing in the middle of a densely packed crowd…who were grooving on the vibe of love & unity & celebration of a community

Kansas City did it right AGAIN

…. Criminals who happen to live here ruined the lives of countless people, smeared the good name of our city and I hope get themselves a prison sentence so long that only a toe tag and body bag will ever let them out of a cell again

My city’s history of public celebrations & hundreds of innocent lives are marred by these senseless acts of gun violence

#KansasCity & the #KCChiefs didn’t do this

Stupid, irresponsible people living under lax gun safety laws did this
