I got my answer in the form of a letter on my door: I actually have just 10 days to pay IN FULL 🌟immediately🌟or in 10 days I will lose access to my home and legal proceedings to "recover possession of the Apartment from" me will be filed by their "attorneys" 🙀. I think the fact that EHA has been obliterated by the county, is making it easier for these people to evict people. The department of housing having your case offered certain protections for disabled, poor tenants.

@Blue_Skyesr_here bold move this one. So don't do it unless you don't have any other option. Your landlord will hate you forever. But their attorney has a name and a license. Nothing at all stops you from calling that office and asking about their eviction process. I. The meantime hustle hard. Find every charity you can. Call hud. Call dv shelters, call everyone you can think of who can help. And don't give up. How much in total do you still need? Do you have a gofundme?

In agreement with @vo1de about calling the law firm. For all you know, the landlord could be lying about what the law firm is going to do.

Have you called the state's renters housing agency to find out if what these asshats are doing is legal?

I also had a new thought tonight. Do you have a patient care coordinator? I got connected with one last August and she has been a blessing in finding me all sorts of medical and non-medical resources that don't require me to pay.
