And yes, I reaaalllyyy want to see the entire series! This one's for @awnaves 😉

"Originally released in 1967 as a weekly comic book called “Candy”, the bizarre domestic set up of two life-sized mannequin children and their “parents” — a pair of humanoid pandas — was dreamed up by renowned production studio Century 21, founded by British TV producer and film director Gerry Anderson."

@see_the_sus OMG! I think I could turn this into a horror story. Haha

@see_the_sus 🙀 Wow, no! I know all of the other shows & things mentioned and loved them at the time. Weirdly, seeing those stills makes me feel that this really could have worked back then, and as kids we wouldn't have found it *that* horrific!
Since we're alike in many ways, I wonder whether @FrankCannon agrees with my initial thought that this looks like it would have worked as a cross between Joe 90 & Rupert Bear (one of my fave puppet progs as a kid) 🤔

@BillyBones

Watched a smidge of Rupert and I wanna know who the blue critter is!

@FrankCannon @awnaves

@see_the_sus And a side note. When I was 4 years old I used my birthday money to buy my first two 45's. One was the theme from Rupert The Bear. The other was The Six Teens by Sweet. A foretelling of the rest of my life, really 😝

My first 45 was Johnny Rivers’ Seventh Son. I could never just sit and listen to it- I Had to DANCE! My bedroom was upstairs right over my parent’s bedroom. My father took me to the record store to find a new record I could “ listen” to quietly. I don’t even remember what it was.

@QueenOfEverything

Had to go look that up on YouTube because I've never heard of him. I can see why you had to dance. LOL

JOHNNY RIVERS! Oh, baby, oh!

😎 I say that now…. But the young girl with her first 45rpm record just thought he was really coool and made her dance like a maniac.

I was also a dedicated Elvis girl because he was also really cooool and made my heart beat faster.

My friends went Beatle crazy- they’d put a record on, and just SCREAM and pull their hair! Boring, right. I left a sleepover bc I wouldn’t make out with Paul on the album cover
