Early dinner: ham and grilled cheese on sourdough and sweet gherkins. It needed one more slice of ham but otherwise, quite yummy. I usually like to add sautéed onions but didn’t feel up to the extra work.
True but I think the bread is different. No?
Yup. And, like the Muffuletta, or Shooter's Sandwich, it's often pressed fairly flat, too.

Mostly better. Throat doesn’t hurt much now and coughing isn’t as bad but still present. It’s been the mildest case of bronchitis I’ve ever had but still has me tired.

Add a little pork to that and you've got a Cubano, a great sandwich.
