When I got home there was a package waiting for me. Yer another delivery put on the ground when there is a perfectly good patio table and a chair. It seems odd to me that the delivery folks will bend down to put my packages when they could save themselves, (and me), the strain on their, (and my), back’s especially when it’s large boxes. Oh so odd.
They’d have to plunk down a couple or more 100lb package to do damage to my wrought-iron table.
Well, sure, but they are probably CYA about it.
I think I'll put a sign on the table. I already have a sign on my gate that asks them to bring the packages into the patio and under the shade because all too a lazy eejit would toss small packages (like the one in the photo) over the fence. Or, they'd open the gate and put the package right inside the patio and I'd come home and damn near trip on it, or the gate would hit it.
@see_the_sus Amazon has a place to enter delivery instructions. I don't know whether they are ever read. I'd put a sign on the table, Deliveries Here Please
The instructions are only, “leave at front door,” “leave with neighbor,” and so on. I also have a sign on my gate that says being inside under shade.” I guess I should be more specific. I just find it odd that it takes them more time to bend down to put it on the ground then it would to plunk it on the table. 🤷🏻♀️
@see_the_sus
They probably aren't allowed to in case something breaks and they get blamed.
