I pick up the Smittle monster and I'm petting him and he starts doing this new weird thing where he raises his head back and starts bobbing back and forth, up and down while talking.

Then, out of the blue he starts licking my nose. Whaaat? I'm giggling, thinking this is adorable when all of a sudden he darn near takes a bit out of my nose. WTF!!

I tell ya, this cat is one part dumb as a rock and one part psychopath.

THIS is why I prefer cats ... because as fickle and strange as they might seem, if one loves you, then it's because you've EARNED it and not just because you have opposable thumbs to make the can opener work.

At least a dog wouldn't (or probably wouldn't), reward their human for petting them and letting them lick their nose by trying to have it as an early morning snack. ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜†

Not as a general rule, no - or at least, the dogs I have fostered over the years never did. Not did the dogs I lived with in Portales.
