Sharing this for others who may be interested.
While searching for a meditation app, (I've always had an easier time when someone is guiding me), I found Balance: Meditation & Sleep and they're giving a free one-year subscription.
I'm going to sign-up and hopefully, I'll like it. I already have sleep/calming music apps: nature, binaural beats, and others but I really want to get back to meditating. My brain needs to calm the *bleep* down.

I'll probably go with the evening as that's when it seems like I need the most help with calming my brain. But I have heard that meditating in the mornings is a good way to start the day.

Oh most definitely. There's another 'naut that I do buddy check-ins with, though I've been a bit lax.
@see_the_sus Balance is good :) You might also try out Insight Timer. It has a lot going for it as well :)

I downloaded the same app not too long ago! I like it, but be sure to find the time of day that feels safest for you to sit down and meditate. As a trauma survivor I couldn't do it at bedtime, so moved it to first thing after I wake up. Or earlier in the evening. Find what works best for you. Let me know what you think!
