It never ceases to amaze me how much pain & discomfort one can feel when just a small part of your body has been cut into.
I knew my pinky finger was going to hurt & throb but I didn’t think that picking up my purse with the right hand would hurt or that any sort of grabbing with my “unaffected” fingers sends a throbbing unpleasantness throughout the hand.
Yep, the body is a fascinating, *said thru gritted teeth* thing. 😖
🤣🤣 💯!
CBD capsules may help with the pain. I used them for hip and knee replacements instead of opioids.
I have the yummy dark chocolate edible bar but no CBD and annoyingly no $ to buy any. I took 1,500 mg of Tylenol at around 3, it’s now 6:30.
@see_the_sus @LnzyHou I'm a big fan of CBD but I also include moringa leaf in my diet for all that is in it, especially potassium & magnesium (& other minerals & vitamins), that helps me not have many daily aches & pains with about 500-1000mg daily. Just felt like sharing. I feel ya on not having much money. I hope my new job improves that for me. I hope you get what you need.
Thamks. ♥️
I've been taking Tumeric but I'm also on Celebrex because I have severe arthritis throughout most of my body.
Crossing fingers for you!!
@see_the_sus Lotta nerves in the hands.
Be VERY good to that hand, and yourself. Let it heal, don't push it.
I spent 6 weeks with my dominate hand above my heart, usually on top of my head, after a tumor wrapped around a nerve was removed. BUT the healing was good enough that the muscle grafts the surgeon predicted would be required were unnecessary. IOW: Follow orders!
I’ve already had a screw up. The wrapping & small splint fell off while I was in my car, probably as I was taking off my coat. I found it lying on the floor and tried to get it back on but the whole thing unraveled and then I lost the splint for good.
I called my doctor but all they did was take a message & said I’d get a call back. 😠 So, I managed to use a popsicle stick, cut down and wrapped it up but it’s nowhere near as snug. 😞
@see_the_sus Used to live in a very small rural town, far from basic services. It's amazing what sorts of improvised first aid things one can come up with, But it is VERY hard to splint a finger using the other hand. There are stretchy self adhering tapes now that might help. If you can get to a pharmacy, they might be able to help. Take care.
@see_the_sus Clearly one of the many arguments against intelligent design, like my wife's lower back or my knees.
