I... I uh.. 😥 I need advice. So my mom talked her boss into hiring me to make an icon for their program without asking me if it's even something I can do... 🤔 and... I can't because I really have no idea what I'm doing in Photoshop and I've never used Illustrator... But I don't know how to approach her and tell her I can't because she's so excited about me being able to do it.
@Brisse Does the tooling (Illustrator or Photoshop) matter? If you have the capability, does it matter if you use GIMP, MS Paint, pen and paper, or whatever, as long as the final result is good and in a format their systems can use? (I'm assuming she advocated for you to do it because you do some art. Be weird if you were a plumber and she did this...)
@Brisse Okay, that does seem weird. Maybe she's thinking they're looking for something in the fractal arena? "Hey ma, ya know I do fractals, ya?" See what happens. Sooner, better than later!
@scottlink they're not... she just thinks she's helping me but she doesn't understand what I can and can't do on the PC.
@scottlink I'm a woodworker. 😂😂😂 If you check my bio it's got my site on it. But I do fractal art which is vastly different than designing from scratch. I put in the numbers, and the computer draws the design.
