Reaching out to and of CoSo! I'm planning an A to Z Reading Challenge for next year and I'm hung up on a book for X. Avoiding parts of a series, because I obviously don't want to read it out of order. The only suggestion I've gotten is one called X-Isle and I'm kinda meh about that one. Not feelin' it. I prefer fantasy, sci-fi, thrillers, mysteries, horror, humor, YA, true crime.

@sarcasmsign What about Xenocide by Orson Scott Card or is that a no-go since it's part of a series?

@Brisse Yeah, I'm trying to avoid parts of a series. Especially if it's not the first book in that series.

@Brisse That was the first link I clicked in my initial search. I figured maybe there was one not on that list someone else could recommend. Most of those are parts of a series or not something I'm really into.

@sarcasmsign unfortunately then I'm of no help. :( of all the books I own none start with X.

@sarcasmsign X: a novel about young Malcolm X. Won several big awards

@georgiamathers I may end up having to go with this one if nothing else sticks out. It was on a list of X books I looked at initially, but I wanted to keep digging.

@georgiamathers I can't remember! πŸ˜‚ I think I'm going with the young Malcolm X one. It does seem interesting.

@triforce Thanks! All of those were on the X list I found on Goodreads and I looked at them all but just wasn't excited about any of them. At least I have plenty of time between now and whenever I get to X in my challenge. πŸ˜‚

@sarcasmsign oh heck 😭 I found a tacoma booklist and cross referenced the goodreads- I’ll keep hunting. I hope something comes across and looks good for you.
