Does anyone know anything about the new platform "Blue Sky ". A friend from LinkedIn just invited me. I had thought about posting the link to coso on LinkedIn, but I know too many people there that would be too negative. And I don't want to bring that kind of people to this happy place.
As for BS, well, I am sure that Blue Sky will find the initials hard to dodge so I am going to see what it's like before I mention coso there unless someone knows something more about it then I do.
@Wolfman just a little--it's supposedly federated like Mastodon, though it uses its own protocol ('AT' rather than masto's 'ActivityPub'). It's run by a corporation whose backers are big into cryptocurrency.
It's definitely having a moment in the post-US-election recognition that X is hot garbage.
I have a pretty strong prejudice against corporate social media, so I'm staying away, personally.
@rpardee I feel the same about corporate social media.
I do think it bears watching though.
I think too much wild influences afflict both parties.
I dream of a day when we have eliminated political parties and apolitical is a popular word.
