Finally did some phonebanking this election. I'd been reluctant, but heard from my friend that she was doing it & so succumbed to the peer pressure. ;-)
How did it go?
@LnzyHou not too bad. A couple hostiles, couple nonvoting cynics, an a bunch of enthusiastic Harris supporters.
It’s the non-voters that get me the most.

I can write off the hardcore Trumplicans as either hopelessly deluded by the RW media echo chamber or just sincere believers facism is better than their group losing power.
The privileged unaware and undecided can be won over. The privileged cynics smugly superior doin a "both sides" dance can seriously DIAF.
@S_r_stone one guy spoke to me for a long time--he just seemed beat down by life--was convinced that it wouldn't make any difference who won the election. I just told him I was sorry he felt that way, and I could understand where he was coming from, but neither of us was going to convince the other & so just ended the call.
