ye gods--I think we're going to have to choose between Nandor and the roomba.
Poor thing 'glinged' at the wrong time last night & Nandor's reaction was heartbreaking to see.
I have friends who swear by theirs. Huge house. Roomba on each floor.
@LnzyHou yeah, I don't know if we got a lemon or what. It's one of the nicer ones, with a docking station that it returns to to charge & empty its dustbin. But it frequently has unexplained errors that keep it from doing work.

@LnzyHou ach, sorry--unclear. The roomba made one of it's 'gling' sounds, as if it was waking up to start vacuuming.
@rpardee If the power ever glitched it would make our CO alarm chirp once, loudly. Once that happened and we had to let our dog stay with our next-door neighbor, because she refused to come back in the house that night.
@MakerWerks oh dang, that's no fun for anybody.
Our smoke alarms go off randomly. Not chirp. Full blare. We've have tried everything we can. They're hardwired & daisy chained so if one goes off they all go off. We have 6 (highly rated First Alerts we bought new) which are going in the trash, because they terrorize us and the dogs. We'll replace them with individuals, of a lower decibel, that do not have a daisy chain feature. Now, if my dogs so much as hear a chirp on TV they bolt to the closet and cower and shake. 😔

@rpardee Vacuuming is not that tough, especially with that kind of face . Can Roomba be kept away ?
@Tattoomonkey29 yeah, I think we're just going to ditch it--it's not worth the heartache.
Anybody want to buy a used cheap roomba? ;-)
