me, being called upon to moderate a nextdoor post that was reported as "disrepectful".

"This is a post that merits disrespect--KEEP"

@rpardee 😆😂😂🤣 I have recently had to at least think about getting a Nextdoor account just to post some very-local things related to my family slowly selling the house. And I honestly dread the idea of wading into that weirdly suburban curtain-twitching site. And I am on *two* urban neighborhood Google groups and several email lists (professional and otherwise).

How did Nextdoor look at Twitter and Facebook, and manage to make it worse.

@Kinniska yeah, it's not awesome. I mean--it can be good. I guess I joined up early enough to be declared a moderator. Unfortunately, this means my attention is specifically called to the most obnoxious stuff.

But if I had it to do over again, I would have kept my ignorance of how horrible my neighbors are.

@rpardee ::shaking head, chortling in sympathy::
Man, I do hear that. I really do.
