I need a windows-based SFTP client. Is FileZilla still the best one?

I'd say it's probably your best bet if you're looking for graphical. I've used Bitvise in the past, though, and the free version's always treated me okay.

@KAutumnrain thanks! I guess I'll live with it for a while & then see if it annoys me enough to to abandon it...

@rpardee I don't have an opinion on "best" but PUTTY can do SFTP I think?

@amarand @rpardee Ah! Yes, I used to use WinSCP regularly, but not in a decade now. If PUTTY did have it, I figured it would be old-school FTP-like, prompt and text, get and put.

You can use putty as the “S” part of SFTP but it’s probably better to just use a decent secure file transfer program.

I suspect the Linux Windows thing probably has a command line thing if you wanted to do that.
