Before (carpet) and after (no carpet).

The bed frame stayed in because it's very easy to slide without the mattress on it, but it takes about half an hour to dis- and re-assemble and I was just not up for it this morning.

This was by far the worst floor in the house. Two rows of tack strips (why???) and some of the damage is legit bad.

But I'm still facing zero felony counts and don't need to fund a bond of any sort, so I'm doing better than some griftsacks I know.

The two worst spots in the house are in this bedroom.

I don't even want to know how that closet floor got that way. All the other closets are FINE.

I also don't really understand how the entry is that trashed but the door (which is also original) is fine. What were you doing in here, previous owners?

@danialexis FWIW, I look at that entry & think "yeah, my dogs will eventually do that to our floor"

@rpardee While I was cleaning it I did actually think "did someone keep a puppy in here?", but the doors are fine, and I'd assume a dog trying to get out would scratch those up too. And it wouldn't explain the closet.
