Actually @rpardee, driving on the beach in Oregon is not allowed on the majority of beaches. Those beaches where it might be allowed have permits and rules that must be observed. Here's the more complicated not-a-summary from the state: https://www.oregon.gov/oprd/prp/pages/per-ocean-shore.aspx. You'll find that 9 times out of 10 you'll find no vehicles allowed; if in doubt don't. The fines for driving on an unauthorized beach are steep. Cheers!
