I'm getting tired of clicking on links (especially here) that take me to Twizzer. I do not wish to give the head twatwaffle any more of my eyeball and visit-value than necessary. Do you feel the same way? Here's what I did: for Windows, I edited my hosts file to add:

127.0.0.1 www.twitter.com
127.0.0.1 twitter.com
127.0.0.1 twttr.com
127.0.0.1 t.co
127.0.0.1 twimg.com

Then, when you accidentally click on a Twizz link, you won't go there. Search for instructions, and USE CAUTION, YMMV YADA^3

Similar methods exist for Mac/Linux, but you'll need to search for those instructions, as well.

This can also be done at your router level or Pi-Hole, if you are a power user. 😉

@codeWhisperer it's a great idea.

I already have the chan sites, brietbart, etc. blocked like this. I reckon it's not crazy to add twitter to that
