@mcfate it seems ridiculous to trust a poll when then are tons of sock accounts.

For that reason he probably should step down.

@mcfate spot on…

It’s curious someone so insulated from the real world would choose to arbitrate social media much less use silly polls. I suspect it is to save face.

@Museek

Well, this isn't saving him any face. It's making him look weak, and like some sort of an out-of-touch boob.

It's pretty clear to me the man's got a near-terminal case of Dunning-Kruger Syndrome.

@mcfate I meant in that he doesn’t want the job and this is his easy way out. He gets to look like he’s being Democratic and transparent by β€œabiding” by polls that are easily undermined.

@mcfate true… I hadn’t thought about that.

@mcfate @Museek

Three card monte. Who controls the poll and the "results?"

Follow

@mcfate @Museek

He controls the poll because he has already made a decision. The "people have spoken" gambit (he thinks) makes him look good. In his eyes he is a benevolent monarch.

@rdwilson @Museek

An assumption that's lacking in evidence. Especially since, were he doing that, someone would be certain to leak that information.

"Elmo's an idiot and there's no plan" has a LOT fewer moving parts.
