there are flat earth society people. these are real and actively trying to prove the Earth is flat (wasn't there one that created a rocket and crashed in it).
I also knew one girl that did not vaccinate her child because "CDC is out there to kill us all, it's lying, trying to sterilize us" yada yada
I'm not surprised. and they can be pretty loud. the key here is to be louder than they are.
btw, these really hate when people laugh at them 😉
