It seems the majority of this country worships ego, money, and guns. Politicians impose their so called religion on us, pocket the money, then feign prayers for us after we are mowed down in stores, schools, churches, temples.
I was born here. I served in the US Army.
This country does not live out to its ideals—My family & I are not safe here. There’s no way in hell we belong here. It’s not who we are.
I’m so sick of feeling watching people be hurt and feeling powerless to stop it.
@WellWellWell3
Thank you for serving our country!
I have been traveling the world for a number of months.
Sometimes, it's lonely and I'm in places where I don't speak the language or know any people. Occasionally, I rely on the kindness of strangers to get by.
And yet, I have felt more at home, as a stranger, in every other country I've been to, than the America I was born in.
@WellWellWell3 I think the biggest two lessons I have learned while traveling. I love my country, but America isn't that great. Health care is better in every country I've been in. At least, the ones I needed to see a Doctor in. 😂 And I'm accident prone, so it's a few. I've even been to Cuba, and the health care was faster and better there too. 😏 I learned how friendly and unscary the world actually is. I've been on the border of war zones and felt safer than in many places in America.
@quinnsentialOne Wow, what a brave soul you are. Thank you for sharing.
