Went to #bellydance rehearsal and workshop. Forgot to bring my sword so I danced w a stick - which is a lot lighter and faster than a sword, so I lost balance, it began to fall, I grabbed for it, hit myself in the face w it and split the inside of my upper lip. Lesson: must not forget my sword.
This #Caturday I am excited to share that we were gifted a crochet cat bed! And it is going *great*

I am so overwhelmed by vice principals sending me emails in which they assume the absolute worst about me that I need to tearfully plead: will someone, anyone, please believe I am not a psychopath running amok among teenagers without any semblance of ethics or professionalism? Also if admin are this unsupportive now, what will they be like once the dictatorship congeals?

#cancer follow-up surveillance visit done.
This follow-up hasn't revealed anything evil and everything looked good, which is awesome. But because I have been having cramp-like pains, I need an imaging study. CT w contrast in a week, then seeing my oncologist again on Dec 12 to discuss results and strategies. Fuck. My. Life.
Took an entire day of sick time because I will be going to my three-month #cancer surveillance later today. I thought I would get tons of work done before having to get ready. That was a mistake - and not a half-ass little oops either...
ISO background political TV during the day. With Joe and Mika selling out, we are gone from MSNBC; we tried CNN this morning. Lasted five minutes. Now trying Free Speech TV. Still hoping for some evening hosts remaining watchable on MSNBC but FFS this is getting hard.
Advantages of being Hungarian:
- you speak a non-Indo-European language
- you are familiar with navigating life under a dictatorship
- you know how to make a pasta bake w sour cream, cottage cheese, and bacon
These days I receive two types of emails in large numbers: one type screams that I should shop, in the name of capitalist consumerism and the coming holidays. The second type screams that I should help stop Matt Gaetz. My poor brain conflated subject lines and I thought I saw "shop Matt Gaetz" and now I need to lie down.

Tristan Snell is reporting that Elon Musk had a SECRET MEETING with Iran's ambassador to the UN to discuss US-Iran relations.
The Logan Act prohibits private citizens from engaging in foreign policy undercutting the US govt.
Musk is NOT a govt official. If reports are true, this was a FEDERAL FELONY.

Hilarious interaction in a conversation w students today:
A Latino student was telling a Caucasian student that she was 'white white'. I made a face. He explained how he used it. I made more faces, then shrugged and said "whatev - my mother-in-law told me I could pass so I am okay". Latino student: "I guess you could pass as white". Me: "My mother-in-law is Black". Several students: "That makes more sense. You definitely give Black Mom".

When a person says they want to protect you whether you like or not, they want to own you.
The threat, the predator is person talking. This is the essence of abuse & trauma: the people who hurt you are the those that should be first to keep you safe.
It’s most insidious in child abuse, for the child is truly powerless & dependent.
