So far, my July 4th has consisted in playing with my new black veil to which I added a row of extra bling so I could find the top of it. In my PJs. Now to shower and go to share a meal w the friends we celebrated indictments with. Been having a really hard time w high anxiety recently. The dogs created a rotation to watch over me. It is currently #Neville who is on duty. Between them and the cats, they are working on ruling out self-harm. I am grateful to and for them.

Holy fuckbuckets! I just killed this creature in the bathroom. I hope it wasn't like the last honeybee or something. Maybe it is just a really big and loud fly. I am severely phobic and got physically unwell with sweating, palpitations, lightheadedness, and shaking. Took one of the dogs for a potty break and this is when the creature got in. I am still trying to recover from the panic attack sufficiently to be able to go to bed.

The only female in the pack, she is the second oldest dog, and because she is a Heeler of sorts (Aussie mom though), she is the toughest, strongest, and if needed, can whup larger dogs (Mozart). I was having a high anxiety day, but it was time to introduce #Elsa to the at-risk teens, so we went and she was amazing. I took a selfie w her and one of the teens also took pix of her that look breathtaking. Then we leave and my car battery is dead, and I call @junation in a panic because Elsa is 11 years and three months old and we can't let her get overheated, so he needs to pick her up. I order a tow. After 15 minutes of sitting, car turns over and I drive it to the shop. But. F. M. L.

I expected that there would be some rough going this week, so I needed lighthearted cuteness at the ready. I put it on my nails. Sadly, yesterday showed that local politics wasn't the only stressor I was dealing with, but I have the #manicure at least.

The Council meeting ran three fucking hours long. Good news is they paused all board nominations and will revisit their process. Even better news: the queer-supporting side significantly more speakers. Horrible news: the Christianists told the Council they were put in power by God and that is who they are accountable to for protecting children. Now dinner and a drink because I am completely depleted.
