Just cuz I loved both my folks, here’s my Mom’s sloppy joe recipe ready to feed the masses (well best girl and hubs and I anyway). You may see the similarities between the two photos of my folks and why my parents were so good together 😁
My dad was a horse guy-started riding when he was15 exercising rich folks horses at barns around Winnipeg. Even bought “Shorty” from a barn owner. Dad’s best stories were horse stories. His youngest brother was mentally disabled & they were each other’s heroes. When Dad retired, he combined these two loves into 20 years of volunteering with the riding for the disabled. Tonight his only granddaughter is at a run thru for the fall cohort of young riders, volunteering as a leader. He’d be proud.
I’ve been mad all day. Made the mistake first thing this morning of listening to a news item filled with precious people saying they’ll vote con because they don’t want their “right” to infect people taken away again. Wait till they have to pay for their own hip replacement while paying to raise their grandkid of their raped daughter. #Fckers
