Have felt hesitant to have a backyard fire most of the summer when so many places have suffered devastating fires and whose smoke has drifted here, knowing I can’t know how hard it is for those folks. However it’s calm here tonight on the last night of August and I’ve missed camping so much for over five years.
Anyone know what this little bugger is an why it and its friends keep showing up in our ss compost bucket? Twice in the last week and never before.
What’s with all these yard cleaner guys cutting down everything taller than grass ffs. Those “volunteer trees” are trying to save our gd planet, not to mention cool the houses and save on energy bills. #MissingMyElms

while I am again camping out in the non-AC spare room on sleep mats, and the lessons are all "this hotel serves breakfast' and the beds in this hotel room are very 'confortable'. Nous ne sommes pas amuser... 2/2
Duolingo is pranking me. In June all the lessons were about high school as my girl was getting ready to graduate. Then my hubs got to travel to Ireland and France and all the lessons were 'I travel with 'mon mari'. Now he has C again from travel (both times connecting thru Calgary - bloody AB antivaxxers...) and is isolating on the 3rd floor, getting room and bar service and the actual bed... 1/2
