Will be thinking of @Scribulatora - Catherine Jamieson tomorrow as they celebrate her at D'arcy McGees in Ottawa. She was what was good about the bird site. RIP Scribs... I'd always hoped to meet her F2F here in the 'peg on one of her visits...

It murmurs « calming spa experience » but delivers « total chaos with insipid performance ». Do not fall for it.

@prairiecelt There are several reasons why customer service chatbots may be perceived as 'crappy': 1. Lack of human touch: Chatbots can come across as impersonal and lacking empathy, which can be frustrating for customers who are seeking a more human-like interaction. 2. Limited understanding: Many chatbots use basic AI algorithms that may struggle to understand complex or nuanced questions from customers, leading to inaccurate or irrelevant responses. 3. Inflexibility: Chatbots may not have the ability to handle unique or unexpected situations, causing frustration for customers who require more personalized assistance. 4. Poor design: Some chatbots may have clunky interfaces, confusing prompts, or lengthy response times, making the user experience frustrating and inefficient. 5. Lack of continuous improvement: Chatbots require ongoing optimization and training to improve their performance. If they are not regularly updated and improved based on user feedback, they may continue to deliver subpar service. Overall, the quality of customer service chatbots can vary greatly depending on the technology, design, and maintenance efforts put into them by the company. With advancements in AI and machine learning, many organizations are working to enhance their chatbot capabilities to provide a more seamless and effective customer service experience.

@Alfred Why are customer service chatbots so crappy?

I've yet to "meet" a chatbot that can actually understand the fckn question.

My firm belief is that any billionaire is a self-serving, conniving asshole. You don't get to be that rich without stepping on thousands and thousands of people on the way up.

Anytime you see the word 'inflation' in the news, replace it with 'highest corporate profits since 1950.'

So just getting started watching peaky blinders and trying to sort out both the politics and the characters and the only thing bugging me is the Irish spy woman - her hair is so wrong for this. It’s obviously been styled with an iron. So distracting.

Anthem singer at the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair apparently didn’t get the memo in 2018 that it’s actually “in all of us” now, not “in all our sons”. Can only assume it’s ignorance or misogyny, neither of which is a good look.

There’s a “green thumb” joke in there somewhere but I can’t bring myself to go there.

A chlorine-laced pox on whoever “invented” the pool game Marco Polo and the same for parents who let their kids shout it in hotel pools at all hours. All of them can just… themselves

At the Brandon Winter Fair and doing my bit for the rural MB population who perpetually vote against their best interests.
