I miss her all the time, but just had a deep need to talk to my Mum just now. Not sure why especially, but might be the no-bake cookies her only granddaughter made for dessert today.

My dad died in 1998 and it's odd how the feeling you described comes on suddenly. All these years later, and there'll be moments when I hear or see something and suddenly my heart aches for him.
