The ground was already wet and we've had over 3" of rain since last night. Still raining.

For some reason, when the ground is so soggy, Reliable Sanitation was attempting to replace the dumpster, got stuck in the mud and absolutely tore up next to the lane. They say they will come back when it dries out and fix/grade it. Not so reliable today.

Copied a small section of the screen. Didn't know it would look like this. Here is how many people are in my family tree file. Wonder when I'll hit 120K. Every person who ever lived should at least have an index card of information about them. Birth, place, death, place. Thumbnail sketch of life. Most people who've ever lived are gone from history. But I choose to believe they remain in the mind of God. I'm doing what researching and compiling I can despite that.

Maternal grandpa Matthew Ryan, for whom I was named. This is him at age 18 in 1909. He was a farmer and also graded the dirt road he lived on. He died on this date 90 years ago of pneumonia, not quite 42 years old. His youngest child was 2 weeks old when he died. Mom was 2ยฝ. Grandpa's sister was a nurse, but she couldn't do a thing for him. Penicillin was years away.

This CAN'T be a real name! Sounds like the account that posted p*rn in here yesterday. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

The oldest home in greater London that is still used as a home was built in the 1430s. Some elements are newer reconstructions, but the bulk of it is original. This is it. It's called Walthamstow. They didn't realize it was this old until white clapboarding was removed in the 1930s. You can see some of the clapboards still remaining on the left side of the front.

Have never tried posting a panorama picture. There was a complete double rainbow here yesterday. I didn't see it in person, but this is a picture from the local newspaper.

This from an Ohio birth record on Ancestry. The additional information is always the name of one of the parents. ๐Ÿค”

George is always wonderful. I have distracted him from chewing on his toy.

A great uncle, two horses, my grandfather, his sister. I have no idea why they're all dressed up and posing with horses. Guessing this is in the 1920s. Grandpa died in 1933, so that sets a firm limit.

The Lena river in Siberia, which flows north into the Arctic Ocean. Didn't know about it until a minute ago.

Not bad for a driver's license pic. Usually want to hide them.

I was also given a sticker that said "Love Like a Dog" but was more hesitant to put that on my car.

I just learned there are freshwater jellyfish in various US lakes. They are non native and date back as early as 1880. Local TV was talking about them being in the Lake of the Ozarks.
