Thinking about this in my morning meditation to share with my kids.
Sometimes we feel guilt about a past action or inaction. Guilt is about actions. shame is about the self.
Our lives contain plenty of missteps.. big ones and small ones but we should know that we are better than our worst days.
If there’s something you’ve been carrying around, you can stop, breathe and think for a moment. If it’s shame, invite some compassion and understanding on. Let guilt inspire action to do better.
