(it is not my intention, either by kind of… generalizing this post as if we are all from the United States America here. Unfortunately, our election affects other countries as well…too. or if not the country, the mental well-being of many as we suffer the rise of hatred in a lot of our elections now).
@Armchaircouch I took the ferry from Seattle, WA to Vancouver, BC. A Canadian gentleman sitting next to me was reading a newspaper, and when he finished, he kindly offered it to me. I noticed that virtually the entire front page was devoted to American news. I struck up a conversation with him and said, “I’m curious. This is a Canadian paper, but the front page is mostly American news. Why is that?” He replied, “Because what happens in your country affects us so much.”
