interesting read...I cringe every time I see a TV ad for NordVPN...they imply their VPN service keeps you "safe from hackers"...which is wildly misleading...if you fall for a phish, you're gettin pwned whether you're on a VPN or not
for what it's worth, I subscribe to two VPN services
one to bypass georestrictions on sports streaming services
one to hide what I'm actually doing from my ISP
both meet my requirements and I'm quite pleased with them
