People tell you that the important thing is to be a good listener, but no. Then you just listen to their meaningless blather.
The important thing is to ask good questions.

Thanks. TBH, I only half believe it, because I can make the argument against it. The counterpoint is that sometimes we don't know what to ask until we listen. And not everything they say is meaningless blather, in spite of my rather cynical generalization. The truth of what I said, after more careful analysis, is that we can have deeper understanding if we care enough to ask good questions.
