My Thoughts On The “He Gets Us” Ad Campaign
I’ve been watching the “He gets us” ad campaign with great interest for several weeks. I like the message, but something about it has left me feeling cautious.
I have seen articles by liberals condemning the ads for their conservative sponsorship.
I have seen articles by conservatives condemning the ads for the liberal perspective.
So what's really going on?

I remember when churches used to publish along with their annual budget how much money went into their benevolence fund, what was sent to missionaries, and other mundane details. These days, many churches don't publish their budgets at all, and a regular old parishioner can't get any details about how much the pastor or any other member of the staff earns, what portion of their offering actually goes to help the needy, or any other related details. They are not being transparent.
