The Baltimore Sun's new owner sparks concerns over editorial influence

"All the indications are at this point, that based on his past behavior, and based on his remarks, and based on his apparent lack of interest in print media, or newspaper-based media, that his intent here is not to create a news organization that informs and understands the city, or the metropolitan region, but he's doing it because he wants a conservative voice."

@nursefrombirth

Sinclair has bought up way too many local news orgs. I wish I were surprised they haven't been called out on anti-trust concerns.

@nursefrombirth

Many people are very concerned. It will also affect some smaller papers, like Annapolis's Capital Gazette.

At least there is still Maryland Matters.

@misterfive I like Maryland Matters. I also read the Aegis. Will that be impacted too?

@nursefrombirth

Probably. They are also owned by The Baltimore Sun.
