OK, so an update:
I AM FINE... so is my family
at 23:20 I heard a LOUD explosion that shook my apartment and windows.
about 5 minutes later, a steady stream of first responders for about 10 minutes
I called a friend of mine who lives 5.4 kilometres away, she also heard the explosion.
We talked for a few minutes, and then hung up, she also didn't know what was going on.
Now, I hear police helicopters above.
This explosion was less than a kilometre from my home.

Here's an UPDATE to the situation.
OK, by the way, the bomb went off at 12:02 AM
I was a bit rattled, so I posted the wrong time.
I literally posted one minute after it went off.
The girlfriend I called is a journalist, I had called to see if she knew anything.
anyway, they think it's gang related...
and, that is pretty much it.
I am still pretty fucking rattled.
bombs are LOUD... bombs in a city, are FUCKING LOUD
Yes they are. I know this.
I'm sorry you had to endure this, and even more sorry for anyone injured or killed by the blast 😔
as far as I know, nobody was killed.
I think there were some injuries, cuz of the steady stream of ambulances that went past my apartment.
I hope nobody was injured badly. 😔
Holy shit, their homes are destroyed... it's bad enough somebody did this to them, but now they will have to stay in a strange place, that is not comforting. 😔 😢
Please keep in mind that blast injuries are not confined to the battlefield (or blast radius) - they should be considered for any victim exposed to an explosive force. And this includes PTSD (even for those well outside the destructive radius).
PTSD is nothing to be ashamed of: for those of us who have...to put this delicately, "on the wrong side of the gun"/having been shot at...it's traumatic. There's no shame in that.
😔
I am truly sorry, and wish there was more I could do.
If so, let me know: DM me, whatever. If I'm slow to get back to you, it's not personal, I assure you.
I am sorry I can't be more supportive at this time 😔
