A mother who alleges her baby was decapitated during delivery at a Georgia hospital last month filed a lawsuit Wednesday against the hospital & others involved in the delivery.

The complaint filed in Georgia’s Clayton County alleges the Southern Regional Medical Center attempted to conceal the manner of death of the baby from the family including the mother, 20-year-old Jessica Ross, and her boyfriend, Treveon Isaiah Taylor Sr.

My mom's baby brother was a big one - 12lbs. Everyone knew he needed to be a c-section, but the drunk country doctor thought he knew better. Baby's neck broke on the way out. I'm surprised my grandma survived it. Mom never forgave that doctor, & I carry that feeling now that she's gone.

I don't know exactly what this poor Georgia mom is feeling, but I have an idea. And my heart breaks for her.

When our (now 15) year old daughter was born they wouldn't let us see or hold her for 24hrs, taking her straight to the NICU & confined wife to bed. When they let us have her, my wife kept telling them there was something wrong, but they told her she was being a worried mother (she'd already had two children)

They discharged us but at 7 days old she was rushed to hospital w/jaundice. Turned out they broke her skull delivering her and never told us 😠

@Agatha We tried but got nowhere. We were even investigated by Police & Social Services for abuse (that we dropped her or hit her head against a wall to stop her crying). She'd cry constantly, but obviously we didn't know we were lying her down on a broken skull 😢

It took an amazing on-call Paediatrician to ask whether anyone bothered to check delivery notes and it was all there. No lawyers would help though, they all said we'd have to see how she is when aged 21!!

@Agatha That's what we thought. She was developmentally slow until about 3 or so then blossomed into a beautiful young girl - bright, funny and incredibly smart, top of her class in every subject. So she's absolutely fine now, but we went through hell at the time.

They count on parents being overwhelmed with a newborn to be too damn exhausted to fight (I know I was).
