@Agatha I hate when that happens. If I can recover & course correct from the mistake, I'll leave it. Otherwise, I feel this pain.
I found I'd been knitting an extra stitch in one of two socks (knitting them at the same time). I wasn't willing to remove several hours of work. I corrected and moved on. No one will ever know. It's fingering yarn - tiny stitches. π
