And that's before you get to Biden's speech impediments and slowness of response due sickness and age. He's just always been a fuzzy candidate.
Kamala Harris was able to internalize the debate prep and make it fast, hard, and pointed: absorb, respond, counter-attack. And the contrast to both Biden and TFG couldn't be greater.
@QueenOfEverything @InvaderGzim @ps9714 i hope he's gone by morning!
I don't think so... and DeJoy has been getting rid of so much equipment, and not replacing it... removing neighborhood mailboxes, and the outside boxes at local post offices.
I really want him to be FIRED. I hate to think he'll still be paid a "retirement' after causing so much havoc!
true, but we're here, so there's that
@InvaderGzim @ps9714 @QueenOfEverything yes I have to agree, but there were obstacles that are now being cleared finally. I won'der if they will be able to get him out before the election!?
@mims @ps9714 @QueenOfEverything
4 years past time...
We went through tornadoes in MN many times...
and 2 earthquakes in our year in San Diego...
We thought we were safe from natural disasters here in SW NM but fires can be truly terrifying. The Ruidoso wildfires, about 3 hours away from us, that started in June were a vivid reminder of how fast they can strike.
I also felt that for all the talk about muted microphones, it didn't make much difference, as the moderators seemed very loath to use that tool, and kept on letting TFG blather on and grab more time–which, however, he did not make good use of.
On the upside, the moderators did make a handful (3 to 5?) of fact checks.
Regardless of humanity, the Earth knows how to heal.
@mims Yes, they do @jackdetate
the good news is that over time the trees will grow back (new trees, I mean).
@gemswinc A band of brown smoke hung across the morning sky, and the Sun cast an orange shadow on the morning, as it unfolded the arrival of the day.
These fires are an indictment of the privalage-at-any-cost way of life we embrace in our rush to leave inconvenience behind.
@MrGoat have a fun movie night!
@jackdetate wow he is beautiful.
That 'disappointing' part?
That is a human reaction.
They are not human and don't have that on their watchlist.
I didn't watch anything about 911 today. It brings back that moment of mourning and sorrow that I don't want to go through it...again. I didn't know anyone that died there, but like many around the world, I felt like they were all related and I mourned for them all. But, not today. Not today. I felt it was MY time to let them go.
