TIL: weedwacker string should be stored in water before use to rehydrate the material so it doesn't break as easily when using near a fence, concrete, house, etc
Per STIHL - Nylon is a hygroscopic material & if the line is stored in dry conditions, it can loose its flexibility. Storing it for a few days in a closed bag w some added water at room temperature or higher will bring the line back closer to the original, more flexible condition & should reduce breakage due to brittleness.
