Distraction.
1498 pieces.
I got it from a free box downtown. A note was enclosed saying one piece was missing. Nope, two.
I really don't mind, it keeps me from obsessing over searching for any particular piece. It's easy to say, oh, that might be the missing one, and move on to another, or work it the other way, and look for a home for one I pick up.
At any rate this was fun. Van Gogh was a true color master.

get a bit of pressed paper
cut out the missing pieces
and paint on the missing pattern
@millard_jmm I did that with one of the Smithsonian seed catalog puzzles. One piece hitched a ride in my clothing and I found remnants in the dryer. I posted images here but it's been a year or so ago.
I won't bother with this one; it's going back to the free box.
