Watching Jonestown on Hulu. I never knew the details of that but I remember John telling me that they had met Jim Jones and he was nuts. Seeing this makes me understand a lot more. I didn’t realize a congressman was killed along with others. I think I got it confused with Heaven’s Gate cult and thought it was a mass suicide. Just learning how crazy it really was!
@Museek 10 days after Jonestown ended, George Moscone and Harvey Milk were assassinated. It was a truly terrible time in San Francisco and the entire Bay Area.
