Me, I am mad that Altman called 's voice *SKY* , as in "talking to (my!) is talking to God"

This man is really off the rails. A new Fra Dolcino en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fra_Dolc

@MidnightRider no doubt that greed caused huge damage, but what I propose is "good" in the sense that as things stand now, it's the least impossible way to solve certain problems. E.g. mass urbanization, which is unstoppable barring REAL catastrophes, is incompatible with the car industry of today, REGARDLESS of who makes cars, and what fuel they use.

Three characteristics of your next car:

1, very likely, it will be Chinese

2, very likely, it will be your LAST car

3, and this will be GOOD, if it happens the right way:

It’ll be abandoned as soon as the next shiney think captures investors or stockholders eye OR the cost of AI starts affecting profits OR the cost of regulation affects profits.

Consumers don’t want AI in everything. The drivers of AI ***think*** we do.

"No, Today's isn't sentient"??? (*)

Of course it isn't but the REAL point is that even if were sentient, we REALLY shouldn't give a f**k, for (at least) all these reasons:

If anybody has already written, or found, a decent explanation of what this latest crap from is REALLY about, can they please post it? Thanks.

"There was a time when Medium was useful. But those days are long past."

"I wonder whether the writers who still use Medium have assessed the trade-off between the minuscule revenue produced and the negativity that they engender. As a means for showcasing talents and expertise there are better options than Medium."
(from buff.ly/4azRoHH )

1, that's 1000% true

2,here's why I never considered Medium: buff.ly/3Vb2IFB

@feloneouscat of course. But in practice, what''s the difference?

"so far, the consumer applications for are simultaneously underwhelming and dystopian."

which is EXACTLY, EXACTLY the same thing we were saying no more than 3/4 years ago about the Internet of Things, for the same, equally valid reasons:

True. That's what I hope to be when I grow up, hopefully soon:

@ps9714 this (the browser technical problem, I'm just speechless about the actual crime) is disgusting. Worst than the "browser wars" in the 1990s, a step back from there, actually.
