and now I'm wondering in how many other countries voting this year there is the same feeling. Thoughts?

@mfioretti RSS FTW! I'm sure that social media companies have evolved an RSS disincentive structure over the past 15 years as with anything else that can siphon attention or deflect profits.

@hallmarc you are of course correct. I myself wrote a tutorial around 2011 on how to read/write FB from the command line, with APIs that just one year later FB deactivated.

And of course it's not just Facebook, is every big "social media" around

I get so, so tired of how some people have a knee-jerk reaction about how the big companies "steal" software. No, no, they don't. They often help build it.

@Diyaguse may I ask you to please define better the "ability to die over falsehoods" part? Thanks!

Right-wing media may save the whole Web, for everybody. They must just have the guts to go back to the future:

The good news is that is back. The bad news is the battle has only begun. It will now be settled in the courts and ballot boxes.

North American software developers are reasonably confident that can help them improve code security. In other regions? Not quite so much.

@JLong Indeed. And sounds like the strategy of someone who wants to be sure to NOT win to me.

"I’m going to put the entire U.S. budget on so that any American - every American can look at every budget item in the entire budget anytime they want 24 hours a day"... said JFK jr...

That is, not only he discovered 15 years after everybody else, but wants to do it in the most complicated, totally unneeded way.

Hilarious, really:

So, do you want to keep running, say, 22.04 LTS in 2034? Canonical enables you to do just that.
