I rarely cry on the phone with my therapist--odd, I know. But today, the moment we got to Uvalde, I broke down. I am nauseated just thinking about how the police were there, just standing around, not doing ANYTHING to stop the shooter. For an HOUR. AN HOUR. All the while preventing parents who were willing to go in from doing so. Those police officers have just as much blood on their hands as the shooter. So many opportunities to stop him, and they did nothing. For an HOUR.
